Tonight was a great night to run the Penn Relays at UPENN with the temps at mid 70s and a little breeze throughout Franklin Field. Catholic families from all over the area filled the stands. The lines were long, and the kids were screaming! You may have thought the Pope mobile was coming out for a lap on the track on FF.
Over 1300 runners and 130 schools from the Philadelphia CYO raced. 4 categories: jr girls, jr boys, sr girls, sr boys. Started at 6:30 and ended by 8:3o. The kids accompanied by their parents had a great time and the sr boys won their heat with a time of 52 secs, and were ranked in the top ten! The jr boys came in at 59 secs and ranked about 12th place! The girls ranked right in the middle of their divisions group with their fast performance! Go St Denis, Run with the Dawgs!
