March is Colon Cancer Awareness Month

At the end of this month, I will have the privilege to speak to a group of people at the Abramson Cancer Center's 4th Annual GI Cancer Educational Conference to recruit special team members for the Livestrong Challenge in Philly on Aug 22. I am looking for you, survivors, to join our Penn Medicine team! But what I will also witness is many top specialists in their field of GI Cancer speak to patients, caregivers, family members, and anyone who has been affected by Ca. Each have areas of interest and specialty. Because the GI system is so large, they get specific: Liver, Colon, Pancreatic, Colo-rectal, Stomach, and esophagus. Prevention is the best cure for GI cancers, as one of Penn's top docs discusses how you can prevent colon cancer.


Yesterday at work as we were on our mission to speak to primary care docs about GI Cancers, we got to stop by one of Doc's neighbor, and witnessed an artist among his works..
